Will my loved one be comfortable with strangers doing the test?

We’re a small, friendly team – you'll see the same familiar faces every time. We take time to build relationships with residents, the care team and family and explain every step gently and clearly.

Do you have experience with dementia or complex needs?

Yes – we regularly support residents with dementia, limited mobility, or other care needs. Our team is trained to work at each resident’s pace with warmth and patience.

Will it disrupt our daily care routines?

We know every home is different, that’s why we work around your schedule and coordinate with care staff to ensure minimal disruption. Visits will always aim to be calm and smooth and as straightforward as possible.

What if we don’t have space for an eye test room?

We only need a quiet space – a resident’s room, lounge, or quiet corner works just fine. We bring all equipment with us and keep it simple.

Is it expensive?

All NHS eye eye tests are free in Scotland whether in the practice, at home or in a care home. We work with frame & lens companies to provide a wide choice of frames and lenses for the best possible price. We will arrive with a wide selection of frames to find a choice for everyone. All glasses come engraved with the recipients name, the date received & the use case for the glasses.

How do we receive the glasses?

All glasses ordered will be hand delivered by our dispenser Suzanne. When glasses are delivered, they will be fit professionally & given a final check.
